KINGSCLIFF LIONS CLUB

About our Club

Kingscliff Lions Club was sponsored by Murwillumbah Lions Club and chartered in 1957 with the motto of Lions Clubs International, WE SERVE.  In addition to International and District Projects, the club is proud to serve the local community.  Pine trees that line Marine Parade were planted and nurtured by members for 6 years before being handed over to the Tweed Council for care.  The present Ambulance Station was erected through a committee formed by the Lions Club.  Before its construction the service operated from rented premises.  After sand mining ceased between the Surf Club and Cudgen Creek,  members undertook thousands of hours work to establish what is now known as Lions Park.  Over the years, club members have continued "to serve" and have put  in many hours undertaking projects, raising money, and assisting the community.  In doing so, we have gained much from the fun and fellowship that comes from working with such a great team of people.

About our Town

Located just "south of the border" in NSW, Kingscliff is a beach town on the Tweed Coast being about 10 minutes from  Coolangatta, Tweed Heads, and the Gold Coast Airport. The main street has attractive street landscaping and some excellent cafes, restaurants and small boutiques.  Kingscliff also has a shopping complex , playing fields, swimming pool, RSL, Fishing, Rugby League, Surf, Rotary and Lions Clubs. These clubs all band together to help one another, and when community projects are undertaken, it is not unusual to see representatives of some or all of these clubs present, working side by side.
